Ridley-Lowell Business & Technical Institute is seeking a part-time evening instructor (2 nights per week) for our Electrical Systems Technician program. This position is ideal for a professional who seeks to share their knowledge and field experience to enhance the learning process for students enrolled in this program. The right candidate must possess extensive knowledge in associated career field to deliver curriculum including core courses such as: intro to electricity, math for electricians, conductors and wiring devices, motor controls, and low voltage/residential/commercial/industrial wiring.
The right candidate will deliver the curriculum focused on student academic achievement and retention as per the state and accrediting agency approved course performance objectives. Facilitating academic counseling and tutoring of students when necessary will be required, as well as accurately and timely maintenance of grade and attendance records, participation in regular staff meetings, professional development workshops, and student functions.
Proper management of classroom, including conduct, learning styles, and teaching techniques must be demonstrated to instill the skills and attitudes for lifetime learning, and as role models of the given profession. Coordination of field trips and guest speakers for community participation and involvement must also be arranged.
5 years of field experience at a minimum and must be a licensed electrician.
