Dental Assistant

Dentists need dental assistants to help them manage their day-to-day procedural and administrative duties. At Ridley-Lowell, our 57-credit-hour program can help you learn the skills that dental offices are looking for.

Our dental assistant program can teach you skills in:

  • Anatomy
  • Dental healthcare
  • Dental administrative procedures
  • Materials
  • Radiography
  • Basic life support (BLS/AED CPR)
  • General and specialty procedures

In addition to hands-on lab work, you’ll also have the opportunity to participate in an externship opportunity where you can test your skills and gain first-hand experience in a dental office.

As a student at Ridley-Lowell, you’ll have access to career services like life-time job placement assistance, on-site tutoring, resume building and interview preparation. We want to make sure you’re fully prepared and supported for your new career.

Upon graduation, you will be certified in BLS/AED CPR and can be ready to apply for the Radiation Health & Safety (RHS) and Infection Control (ICE) competency exams through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).

Massage Program, CT

Get the education you need to pursue a career in massage therapy with Ridley-Lowell. Our program consists of practical, hands-on training and can be completed in less than a year.

As a student, you’ll explore key areas like:

  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Pathology
  • Kinesiology
  • Therapeutic massage
  • Eastern and Western modalities
  • Spa Services
  • Sports and Medical Massage
  • Legal and Ethical Issues related to the massage therapy industry
  • Career Development for Massage Therapy

Upon completion of the program, you can be eligible to apply for your National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork to become nationally certified. With a passing score on this exam, you can be eligible to apply for licensure as a massage therapist in the state of Connecticut.

As a licensed massage therapist, you can seek employment opportunities in a wide range of settings, including salons, spas, resorts, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, athletics departments, fitness centers and more.
