MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING 12 Months • 1230 Hours The Managerial Accounting program will prepare you for entry-level
positions in the accounting field. This program will train you in several
software applications, including a computerized accounting package.
Organizations in every industry employ people in this field, offering you
a wide range of career opportunities. As a graduate of the Managerial
Accounting program, you will be qualified for positions such as accounts
receivable clerk, accounts payable clerk, payroll specialist, or general
bookkeeper. Typical responsibilities may include preparing periodic
financial statements, reconciling accounts, and performing internal
audits. Along with your management background and experience, you could
qualify for advanced positions such as senior accountant or office

for a career as an office professional. Your training at Ridley-Lowell
will include a variety of computer courses as well as an introduction to
management. Upon completion of this curriculum, you will have a thorough
understanding of office procedures, principles of accounting, and records
management. Your skills will include Speedwriting, keyboarding, and
transcription. This program offers an outstanding potential for
advancement in a variety of fields. As a graduate, you would qualify for
positions such as executive assistant, office manager, secretary, or
administrative assistant. [back to top] MEDICAL ASSISTANT 12 Months • 1260 Hours The Medical Assistant program is designed to train you in the
patient-related aspect of a health-care facility. You will learn both
administrative and clinical duties to best prepare you for employment in a
doctor's office or hospital. Upon completion of this program you will be
able to obtain a patient's history, take vital signs, perform routine
tests, and assist the physician by preparing the room and patient for
exams. You will also have the ability to handle front desk operations of a
medical facility by scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and making
telephone calls. The Medical Assistant program is accredited by the
Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP),
on recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American
Association of Medical Assistants' Endowment (AAMAE). As a graduate of the
Medical Assistant program, you will be eligible to sit for the Certified
Medical Assistant (CMA) exam. Medical Billing and CodinG SPECIALIST 6 Months • 690 Hours NETWORKING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST 9 Months • 960 Hours The Networking and Technical Support Specialist program provides
students with hands-on experience in computer operating systems, computer
hardware and maintenance, software applications, basic and advanced
networking skills including hardware and maintenance, help desk and the
internet. Students will be expected to support end users and programmers
in business environments and have experience operating computers and
peripherals. This will enable students to successfully become employed in
various sized companies. Students completing the Networking and Technical
Support Specialist program will have the necessary skills to become
employed in entry-level positions such as Technical Support Specialist,
Network Support Specialist, Applications Support Specialist, Internet
Support Specialist, Computer Operator, Computer Repair Technician and Web

comprehensive understanding of software and office technology. Information
processing theory is combined with hands-on practice to provide you with
the skills needed for employment in a variety of organizations. Basic

to top] LEGAL OFFICE ASSISTANT 9 Months • 960 Hours The objective of the Legal Office Assistant program is to train you for employment in a secretarial capacity in a law firm or government agency. Your legal studies will include transcription, preparation of legal documents, office procedures, terminology, and business law. In addition, you will learn popular word processing programs typically used in a legal environment. Criminal Justice OFFICE SUPPORT SPECIALIST 9 Months • 990 Hours The Office Support Specialist program offers you the opportunity to
develop and polish administrative skills that are in demand. In addition,
you will gain a solid working knowledge of common software packages. Upon
completion of this curriculum, you will have a thorough understanding of
accounting principles, records management, and office procedures. As a
graduate of the Office Support Specialist program, your diverse background

transcriptionist; in addition, the student may use the learned skills to
be a medical secretary. Necessary areas of learning shall include medical
terminology, anatomy, and physiology, computer fundamentals, keyboarding,

top] EVENING MEDICAL BILLING & CODING SPECIALIST 11 Months • 690 Hours Upon completion of the Evening Medical Billing & Coding Specialist
program, the student will qualify to be employed in a facility that
handles billing for medical services. A strong knowledge of medical codes
and insurance is necessary to be proficient as a specialist. This program
provides training in essential areas for this specialty such as medical
terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, computer fundamentals,
and legal issues of the profession. Among other positions, the graduate
will qualify to be a medical examiner rating clerk, coding file clerk,
